Mobile Internet is becoming one of the biggest milestones, which plays a major role in overtaking the market place of desktop internet users. Mobile being used excessively by people of all age groups, has become an easy marketing platform for all the trending brands. Mobile phones offer impeccable convenience to all its users, as it can be used on-the-go for 24 hours without any stoppage.
With a great addition of 52 million internet users in the first half of this year, India has summed up with a great total of 352 million till June 30, 2015; as per the report by industry body of Internet and Mobile Association Of India.
Moreover, 213 million users in India are accessing the internet through mobile devices. This calculates as the ratio of more than 60% of the total number of internet users India are mobile internet users.
The Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) states
“Internet (in India) has reached an inflection point. The consolidated numbers affirm the fact that internet in India has now become inclusive, which augurs well for the industry and society at large”.
As per the rise seen in the statistics of number of mobile internet users in India, the double the number of mobile internet users is expected by the end of 2017. The number of mobile internet users has increased by 26% from 278 million in October 2014 to 352 million till June 30, 2015. The average growth rate is about 40% from 159 million users in October previous year.

According to the earlier statistics; it was expected that India will grow to 314 million by the end of 2017. Not, as we can see that India has crossed this bar in 2015 itself we can expect for an elevated hike in the number of mobile internet users in India in the forthcoming years.
IAMAI states; “The internet in India took more than a decade to move from 10 million to 100 million and three years from 100 to 200 million. However, it took only a year to move from 200 to 300 million users. Clearly, internet is mainstream in India today”.
With elevation in the encroachment of technology and simultaneous growth in the number of mobile connections, India is surely to become one of the biggest Internet markets globally. There is an impressive growth of 60% mobile internet users in India, which guarantees to make our country as one of the leading Internet markets in the world.
